About the Conference
Catch up with new trends in technology with the 2007 CFDG IT Conference. This year’s conference combines two strands of thinking – one looking at trends and technological trajectories, the other one looking at strategic IT issues.
The event is not only aimed at Finance and IT Directors who have direct responsibility for IT. It also raises generic strategic questions any charity should look at with regard to their technical infrastructure and management information systems.
On the strategic side we will look at supplier relationships and who really is in charge in the organisation for IT and infrastructure decisions? We also hope you will benefit from a high-powered discussion panel which will discuss how to bring IT into the boardroom, and raise understanding for the strategic influence of IT among your Board members.
On the more technical side, we want to help you to look forward, to ascertain trends and how they might impact on your charity. What’s on the horizon? With Microsoft bringing out Vista, the much-talked-about new Windows platform, we have a Microsoft representative who will give a first-hand insight into how the global giant sees its strategy regarding charities. We will also look at how charities can really use interactive tools like blogs and wikis? Many people say charities cannot live without embracing new technologies, but what really makes sense?
We are sure the combination of technological trends and strategic focus will offer food for thought and help you to understand the possible impact and implications of IT on your organisation.
