Specialist services

We offer a full intergrated and administration service tailored to the needs of individual charity clients with funds in excess of £5 million. This includes a detailed quarterly investment report and administrative support which is structured to each clients particular requirements. We count client meetings as an important part of our services. We appoint a senior director and a fund manager for each individual client. The Chiswell hallmark is is the provision of a genuinely personal service at senior level for all clients.

Investment philosophy

Our conservative approach to investment combines todays sophisticated techniques of investment management with a traditional emphasis on fundermental research, and a detailed knowledge of our clients and their needs.

In constructing investment policy and asset allocation, we draw research from a wide range of different securities houses from around the world and, under the guidance of our Chief Investment Officer, distil this to meet the particular needs of the individual charities.
We are used to dealing with the problem of reconciling the conflicting requirement for immediate income with the need for long term capital and income growth; and using any ethical criteria the trustees may wish to adopt.

We also attach considerable importance to the relationship between performance and risk, quantifying volatility of our clients' quarterly performance figures to assess whether the returns being earned adequately reflect the degree of risk being taken.
