Prof. Clive Holtham
Professor of Information Management, CASS Business School, City University, London
With a Masters degree in management, Clive Holtham originally trained as an accountant. Following six years as a Director of Finance and IT, he moved to the Business School in 1988. His research is into the strategic exploitation of information systems, knowledge management and management learning. He has been an adviser to the European Parliament on educational multimedia and is author of a large number of publications. He lectures, broadcasts and consults in the UK and internationally.

Ian Allsop
Senior Reporter, Charity Finance Magazine
Ian Allsop is senior reporter for Charity Finance magazine, and editor of Association Manager magazine. One of his regular roles for Charity Finance is compiling the ICT news page and he has written up the results of the magazine’s IT surveys in previous years. Prior to an unplanned career in journalism, Ian worked for the charity unit at BDO Stoy Hayward.

Dr Phil Harwood
Services Director, Touchstone
Phil has been involved in the IT Industry for 18 years in a variety of consultancy, systems implementation, IT Management and academic roles. As well as publishing papers on software implementation, he has considerable practical experience of implementing software solutions, systems integration and change management. Phil provides a unique insight into the realities of business improvement using IT.

Miles Hewitt-Boorman
IT Consultancy Partner, Chantrey Vellacott DFK
Miles trained as a Chartered Accountant with Chantrey Vellacott DFK and has been a partner in the IT/Business Consulting group since 2000. Specialising in working with professional firms, public sector and non-profit sector, including charities and membership organisations, Miles mainly advises clients on the use of new technology refining the use of existing systems, processes and controls. He sits on the Fraud Advisory panel's committee for CyberCrime and co-authored the ABG guide to e-business.

Jeremy Newton
Partner, Nabarro Nathanson
Jeremy Newton is a partner in the Technology Group at law firm Nabarro Nathanson. He has specialised in IT work for over 10 years, and is noted as a "leading individual" in Chambers Guide to the Legal Profession. Jeremy writes and lectures extensively on IT law and contracts, and is the co-editor of the British Computer Society publication "Manager's Guide to IT Law", to be published in May 2004.

Henry Stewart is the Chief Executive of Happy Computers. Happy Computers was founded in Henry's back room in Hackney fourteen years ago. Basing its approach on involvement and making learning about computers fun it has grown to be one of the UK's leading IT training companies, delivering courses to over 20,000 people a year. Happy Computers has received widespread recognition for its quality and innovation and has won numerous awards.

Graham Taylor
Programme Director, Open Forum Europe Programme
With 30 years experience in the ICT sector, Graham is currently working to accelerate the take-up of Linux and other Open Source Software in both business and the public sector as a Director or the not- for-profit IT Forum Foundation. Non-evangelical and business oriented, OpenForum Europe is focused on securing unbiased hard evidence on the opportunities from OSS. Graham is also a Director of Fonteau Business Associates, a limited company focused on the provision of Business Management and Business Development services. Previously a Director at ICL he was most recently the Managing Director of the Smart Card Group, where he was responsible for its global business.

David Clayden
Director of Strategic Information, Salvation Army
Chairman, Charities Consortium IT Directors Group

During his career, David has researched international cod stock management, planned transportation networks, lectured and published on medical statistics and directed information services in an NHS Trust hospital. After a period as an independent information consultant, David now works for The Salvation Army - enabling access to, and the effective use of, information across the rich variety of 'The Army's social and church work.

Donna Smillie
Best Practice Officer, Accessible Websites, RNIB
Donna Smillie has worked in IT-related roles since the mid 70's. Before joining RNIB in March 2000 she was IT Communications Manager in British Airways, responsible for designing and maintaining several internal BA websites. At RNIB she set up the See it Right Accessible Website consultancy, and for the past four years has worked with many companies, organisations, and central and local government agencies in the UK, advising on accessible web design and the many issues surrounding web accessibility. She is an experienced presenter and has run many seminars and presentations on this issue.

Terry Veitch
Chief Executive Officer, Community Network
Terry Veitch has worked in the voluntary sector for more than 25 years at local, regional and national levels. She has been shortlisted for the Guardian Jerwood Award and was Social Entrepreneur of the Year 2001 (London). Currently she is Chief Executive of Community Network and Vice-Chair of ACEVO.

Shani Fancett
Director of CABnet, Citizens Advice Bureau
In the last 5 years, Shani has been driving CAB’s IT Modernisation Programme. She has been instrumental in introducing in-house publishing, a service wide extranet and a multilingual public information website and implemented the Citizens Connect Programme. Shani has also worked for Barnardos, the Probation Service and Social Services. She is a qualified social worker as well as being an experienced IT Project and Programme Manager, and strives to ensure any IT she introduces ultimately benefits the end users of services.

John Tate
IT Advisor, Charity Finance Directors’ Group
John Tate is a qualified CIMA accountant and ex Finance Director. He has worked with hundreds of organisations over the last decade in reviewing the opportunities IT offers and the issues to insure any investment generate a real return. John is also CFDG's IT advisor, a regular writer and conference speaker on IT matters. He is currently working as an IT consultant and is non-executive director/advisor to a number of IT businesses.

David Membrey
Deputy Chief Executive, Charity Finance Directors’ Group
David joined CFDG in September 2003, having earlier been Deputy Director of charity Book Aid International. Over his 18 years in the sector David has been extensively involved in finance, IT, project management and facilities management. In recent years he specialised in systems analysis and design. In recent years he has concentrated on simplifying organisations' IT solutions ensuring that responsibility for IT projects is accepted at senior management and board level.
