Benchmarking The Finance Function - Finance CountTM 2010
Launch workshop on Thursday 18th March, 13.30 - 16.30
The Charity Finance Directors' Group and Agenda Consulting are pleased to announce the launch of Finance CountTM 2010 on Thursday 18th March. Finance Count is a unique financial benchmarking tool tailored specifically to the needs of the UK’s third sector.
Led by the Charity Finance Directors' Group and Agenda Consulting, Finance CountTM 2010 has involved benchmarking the performance of all types of organisations throughout the sector.
Benefits experienced by participants include: an early warning sign of potential issues, evidence to support change, new insights on good practice and how to achieve it, and enhanced ability to report back to management and trustees.
Participation has required the completion of an online questionnaire, and in February 2009 participants are receiving detailed reports which compare their performance this year with that of the previous year, measure it against 10-20 of their chosen peers and facilitate comparision with the sector as a whole. Participants are also benefiting from the provision of 1-1 telephone consultation, online access to the benchmarking database and case studies for 12 months, four workshops to share case studies, share good practice and network with fellow finance professionals and invitations to participate in other surveys as appropriate.
Finance Count is an effective tailor-made tool that identifies priority areas and provides a basis for the development and execution of an effective action plan.
Over 160 organisations of different sizes and sub sectors have been involved over the last 2 years, representing almost 15% of the third sector workforce, with combined total net assets of over £3.8 billion.

Workshops
Members of Finance Count™ 2010 are being invited to four workshops, from March - July 2010. At the workshops they have the opportunity to hear practical case studies delievered by finance leaders in the third sector, and to share views and experiences with other practicioners.
