About the Conference

The 2007 CFDG Conference explores the potential of the Finance function to make a difference to each and every Charity. In particular we will be looking at how the Finance Director can take a lead in the strategic direction of their organisation and at areas, new and existing, where they can improve the performance of their Charities. This year we have increased the coverage of the conference by adding a fifth stream.

The first program stream looks at those areas in which the Finance Director can contribute to enhance the strategic delivery of the Charity – Strategy, Resource Allocation, Performance Measurement and Reward, whilst the second stream looks at the Finance Division itself and how it might be led and structured to make a difference.

The third stream looks at a number of issues that directly increase efficiency and improve margins whilst the fourth stream looks at some new areas you may wish to consider.  The final stream provides updates in some core areas – financial reporting, VAT, the Charities Act and audit.

The conference is open to CFDG members and other charity practitioners and experts.  It is a forum for all in the sector to learn from charity case studies, and leading experts and to engage in discussion with each other about how finance can really make a difference.

The Reception

Delegates attending the conference are invited to a reception immediately following the end of the programme.

The reception provides the ideal opportunity to network with speakers and delegates at the end of the day.
